| This sensor is suitable for the old type of thermostat housing, made of aluminum. This thermostat housing was modified, approximately around 2007, by Volvo to a plastic housing. The plastic housing has a different sensor. If the thermostat housing has been replaced in the past, it has most likely been replaced by a plastic version. It is wise to check what is on the car before ordering.
