This sensor is suitable for the new type of thermostat housing, made of plastic.
These engines first had an aluminum thermostat housing, but these were modified to a plastic housing around 2007. The aluminum housing has a different sensor.
This sensor will therefore only fit on cars before 2007/2008 where the thermostat housing has been replaced by a plastic version.
It is wise to check what is on the car before ordering.
